The interim audit report was prepared in the performance audit “Development of the Medical Support Capability of the National Armed Forces” and is part of the overall audit scope.
The audit was conducted and the interim audit report was prepared to assess whether the prerequisites were created for civilian medical personnel and medical institutions to provide medical support to the National Armed Forces of Latvia in the event of war.
The interim audit report has been assigned the status of restricted access information. To provide the public with an idea of the issues examined in the audit and the role of medical support in national defence, information has been prepared and is being made public by explaining the importance of the medical support capacity, outlining the issues assessed in the interim report, and providing insight into the practice of other countries in this area.
