The State Audit Office has completed the annual audit of the annual consolidated financial statement of the Republic of Latvia. Although, a qualified opinion was given similarly to previous years, a lot has been done to organise the state’s financial records.
It is still not possible to give a positive opinion due to some unsettled issues that the State Audit Office points out year after year. Based on the audit findings, with the exception of the impact of the issues mentioned in the section of justification to the Qualified opinion, the Annual Consolidated Financial Statement of the state provides a clear and true picture of the state’s financial position, its changes and the financial results of the state’s operations in the economic year that ended on 31 December 2021 in all relevant aspects, and has been drafted in accordance with the statutory requirements valid in the Republic of Latvia.
