Municipality Auditing

The EUROSAI Task Force on Municipality Audit (TFMA) is a collaborative platform that helps auditors to exchange experiences and best practices in municipality auditing. We are active members of the TFMA, as we have studied the specifics of auditing methodology applied to municipality audits, external auditing systems in a number of EUROSAI member states, trends in municipal financial indicators, as well as municipal monitoring systems. The Task Force was established in 2016 and consists of 28 members and 2 observers from European supreme audit institutions.

This cooperation provides the State Audit Office and its auditors with to opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of innovative audit methods and tools thus contributing to efficiency of municipal audits. The State Audit Office aims at contributing to efficiency of external audit system of local and regional governments to improve the quality of life of citizens.
